In December 2010 I started a journey using recommendations from nutritionist Karen Hurd. This is the record of my experiences.

New Low
204.2 - Yesterday I had eggs and beans for breakfast, then we took off for the Twin Cities. I had a chef's salad for lunch and bean soup late at home. I didn't get my three servings of beans (only about 2), and I didn't get my 3 servings of Psyllium (only about one) and I sure didn't get 5 servings of veggies. But, I didn't make up for it by adding in all kinds of bad stuff. I just didn't eat as much.

207.8 - Had another consultation with Karen Hurd last night. She predicted to within a pound how much weight I should have lost by this time. No changes to the recommendations. We asked if "milk-based" soups were ok to eat and she said yes, cream of broccoli etc. That will add a lot to my choices for meals.

New Low
206.8 - I think I had an unusual fluid build-up yesterday that threw my weight off by about a pound. This number makes more sense for today.

208.8 - I'm really getting tired of beans, but I can't let that increase my desire for nuts and decrease my resistance to them. Nuts are on the "allowed" list; they neither hurt nor harm the process. But, they have a lot of calories, so too many can't be good.

Happy New Year!
208.6 - I thought for sure I was going to be heavier today because I snacked a lot yesterday afternoon and evening. I weighed myself 5 times just to be sure. (Throw out the high and low, then pick the middle of the remaining three if they're close.) Nice way to start the new year. I think I'm about 10 lbs less than I was at Thanksgiving time.
I've noticed lately that my BP is higher in the morning than later in the day. Not sure what's up with that.
